First, it has been confirmed that Gemma Ward is joining the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, just like we reported.
Secondly, Ms. Ward and French beauty Astrid Bergès-Frisbey will be playing mermaids in the flick. There’s no news yet about how they will fit into the story, but mermaid legend makes them out to be trouble makers and seductresses, so I would bet on some sort of interference being run by them while either Captain Jack or Blackbeard or both are trying to get to the Fountain of Youth.
Third on the docket, the first photos from the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides have been found on the internet. There are 3 photos so far, not super exciting, but proof that the movie is being made as we speak. And these photos bring hope that there will soon be others showing more.
So, take a look at the 3 photos and think about Captain Jack being seduced by a mermaid while also having Angelica (Penelope Cruz) as his love interest.
